Article 1 (Purpose)
These Terms govern the conditions and procedures for using daly (“the Service”) provided by UNIISLABS (“the Company”), and the rights and obligations of the Company and users. daly brings together routines (action), self-observation (records), and an AI companion (discovery).
Article 2 (Definitions)
- “User”: a person who has accepted these Terms and signed up for the Service
- “Routine”: a user-defined sequence of step-based activities
- “Condition check-in”: an evening record of a mood score (1–5) and a one-line memo
- “AI companion”: daily, weekly, and monthly reflection text generated via the Anthropic API (not medical or psychological diagnosis)
- “Pro plan”: a paid subscription on a monthly, annual, or lifetime basis (Article 5)
Article 3 (Account and Data Processing)
Signup is via email (magic link) or Apple/Google login, and is available only to users aged 14 or older. One-line memos in evening check-ins are stored with application-level encryption (pgcrypto, AES-256); the key is held on the server (Supabase Vault) and they are accessible only to the user under Row Level Security (RLS) (see Privacy Policy Article 7).
Article 4 (Free Plan)
- Owned routines (active + locked + archived) up to 5 (up to 5 steps per routine)
- Emoji and colors: curated set (15 emoji, 6 colors)
- AI companion: one-time preview per account (first insight after the first routine completion and first check-in)
- Statistics and journey aggregates: current month (full history requires Pro)
- Full one-line memo history, alarms (normal/soft), themes, font size, condition check-ins: free

Pricing (reference / standard)
Actual charges and promotional prices follow the prices shown in the App Store and other stores. The following are reference standard prices.

- Launch promotions and similar discounts apply for a limited time; whether they apply, their duration, and their amounts follow the in-app display.
- Prices in other countries are set according to the store’s standards.
- Price changes will be announced in-app at least 30 days before they take effect.
Article 6 (7-Day Free Trial)
A 7-day free trial is offered for Pro monthly and Pro annual subscriptions only (lifetime excluded). When the trial ends, billing proceeds automatically; cancelling during the trial prevents billing. Cancellation is available in App Store subscription management. Trial eligibility is determined automatically based on your Apple account.
Article 7 (Auto-Renewal and Cancellation)
Subscriptions auto-renew within 24 hours before expiration. If you cancel at least 24 hours before the next billing date, the next charge will not occur. Cancellation can be done in one step in App Store subscription management; the Company does not make cancellation difficult or hide it.
Article 8 (Withdrawal of Subscription and Refunds)
In accordance with the Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce:
- Principle: you may request withdrawal (refund) within 7 days of payment.
- Digital content exception: content whose supply has already begun may be subject to withdrawal limits; in that case, the Company clearly discloses this in advance and obtains your consent.
- daly’s refund standards:
- Monthly: refunded if within 7 days of payment and unused. If used, service continues until the next billing date and then auto-cancels.
- Annual: refunded within 7 days of payment; afterward, you may request a pro-rated refund of the unused remainder.
- Lifetime: refunded within 7 days of payment; no refund afterward.
- Store handling: for Apple App Store purchases, users request refunds directly at reportaproblem.apple.com (Apple decides approval), and the Company assists/confirms. Google Play purchases follow Play policy.
Article 9 (Downgrade and Data Retention)
When downgrading from Pro to Free, past data is not deleted but preserved in a locked state. Past AI companion content and statistics/journey aggregates are locked after the transition but the data itself remains stored; one-line memos are not locked and remain accessible. On re-subscription, past content reopens.
Article 10 (User Obligations)
- Provide accurate information and manage your own account security.
- Do not steal others’ information or interfere with service operation.
- Do not attempt to circumvent the re-signup cooldown (abuse prevention).
- Do not engage in acts that violate law or public morals.
Article 11 (Changes to / Suspension of the Service)
The Company may change or suspend parts of the Service to improve it, and will announce significant changes/suspensions in-app at least 30 days in advance. Converting a free feature to paid requires your separate consent.
Article 12 (Intellectual Property)
- Rights to the content, design, and trademarks the Service provides belong to the Company.
- Rights to data you input (routines, memos, etc.) belong to you. You grant the Company permission to process such data to the extent necessary to provide the Service.
Article 13 (Disclaimer and Medical Notice)
- daly is not a medical device and is not intended to diagnose, treat, or prevent any disease. It does not claim medical effects such as “treatment,” “improvement,” or “diagnosis”; it is a tool that helps with routine-building and self-observation.
- The AI companion is data-based self-observation information, not medical, psychological, or legal advice.
- The Company is not liable for damages arising from causes beyond its control, such as force majeure, user fault, or third-party service (store/network) outages.
Article 14 (Limitation of Liability)
Absent the Company’s intent or gross negligence, the Company’s liability is limited, within the reasonable range set by the Act on the Regulation of Terms and Conditions, to the amount you paid for the Service over the preceding year (KRW 0 for free users).
Article 15 (Governing Law and Jurisdiction)
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. Disputes related to the Service shall be resolved by mutual agreement; if agreement is difficult, the competent court shall be the court with jurisdiction over the Company representative’s address (Daegu District Court Sangju Branch) or the Seoul Central District Court.
Article 16 (Amendment of Terms)
The Company may amend these Terms within the bounds of applicable law, announcing amendments in-app at least 30 days before they take effect. If you do not agree to the amended Terms, you may terminate your use agreement.
